The first two artifacts are from the College of Education electronic communication network Moodle. The next two artifacts are of a similar network that is more general to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign called Compass. Both of these websites allow teachers to post course syllabi, homework assignments, links, grades, announcements, readings, and anything else that they want for their students to access. The last artifact is a resource section I helped create and develop for students who need help with various topics in math.
These websites both call for communication with students and allow student access to material through resources from the teacher. When students access the websites, they can be updated with events in the class and communicate with other students via forums available on the website. The last artifact is a resource section that I plan on using as a resource for my students to support my instruction.
It is important to have various resources to supplement teaching when presenting information to students. I plan on using outside sources for student reference and to enhance the classroom experience. The resources will enhance students' understanding of concepts and a way for students to teach one another and share information.
